| Skaftafell Map: A full map of the area. We first walked to Svartifoss, then to Sjonarnipa, then over near Kristinartindar. The group split up and one went over the mountain and the other around, meeting up near the glacial stream on the other side. We then hiked down to Sjonarsker, which had a dial you could use to figure out the name of the surrounding mountains. Finally we headed out toward the parking area. Total hiking time about 8.5 hours and distance was about 19 km. |
